Troubleshooting Windows activation error 0xc004c008

Sometimes, after Windows activation, you may see an error window like the one below.

This error can occur due to security to prevent unauthorized use of keys, even if you are actually using a brand new key. You can easily resolve this issue by following the steps below.

First, press the Windows key + R on your keyboard, or type 'Run' in the Start menu search box to open the Run window.

In the Run window, type 'slui 4' to open the country selection window.
Sometimes, instead of the country selection window, the activation window may appear. In that case, click the 'Activate by phone' button.

Select your country or region from the country list and click Next.

When the window like the one above appears, write down the 63-digit Installation ID(IID). Do not close the blue window, and go to the following website:

When you first access the site, click 'Logout' at the top right to log out.

Log in with the 'Troubleshooting ID / PW' that were sent to you by email along with the product key from Winstall.

Enter the 63-digit Installation ID you wrote down earlier in the upper field, then click 'Get Confirmation ID.'

When the Confirmation ID(CID) appears as shown above, write it down and return to the blue window.

In the blue window, click 'Enter Confirmation ID.'

Enter the Confirmation ID you wrote down and click the 'Activate Windows' button.
All activation steps are now completed.
