How to install MS Windows 10 Home/Pro

To activate Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro, you must first install Windows on your device.

By following the installation steps below, you can easily install Windows.

  1. Prepare a USB drive with at least 8GB of storage.

Important Notes

  • All data on the USB drive will be erased during the creation of the installation USB. Please move any important files to cloud or another USB drive/storage device.

  • All data on the drive where you plan to install Windows will also be erased. Please back up your files to cloud or another USB drive/storage device.

First, go to the following link:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/

Click “Download now” as shown in the image to download the Media Creation Tool.

If you want to download the installation file in another language, please click the language tab at the bottom left of the website and select your preferred language.

After downloading, run the file from your Downloads folder and follow the instructions below to create the installation USB.

  1. Creating the Installation USB

If you want to select different Windows installation options, uncheck “Use the recommended options for this PC” and make your selections.

If you do not have any special requirements, proceed with the recommended options.

Once all steps are completed, your Windows 10 installation USB will be ready.

  1. With the Windows 10 installation USB inserted, restart your computer.

As soon as the boot screen appears after restarting, repeatedly press the ‘Delete’ key on your keyboard to enter the BIOS.

Depending on your motherboard manufacturer, other keys such as ‘F1, F2, F4, F11, F12’ may be used to enter the BIOS. Check the boot screen for the correct BIOS entry key.

Once in the BIOS, go to the ‘Boot’ menu. (The BIOS screen may look different depending on your motherboard, but the process is the same.)

Among the boot options, set the ‘Windows 10 installation USB’ you just created as the first boot device.

After saving the changes and exiting, your computer will reboot automatically and the Windows 10 installation will begin.

  1. Installing Windows 10

Follow the instructions as shown in the images.

To prevent errors, select “I don’t have a product key” during installation.

You will be able to enter your product key on the activation screen after installation.

Select the edition that matches the product key you purchased.

Choose the drive where you want to install Windows.

Most users install on Drive 0 or 1.

Once the installation is complete, your computer will automatically reboot and enter the initial Windows setup screen.

If the installation screen appears again instead of the initial setup screen, turn off the computer, remove the ‘Windows 10 installation USB,’ and turn the computer back on.

This concludes the instructions on how to install Windows before activating Windows 10 Home/Pro.
